The annual Sea Witch® Festival is returning to Rehoboth Beach this October for its 34th year. Featured in HGTV’s list of the ‘21 Great Fall Festivals’, the Sea Witch® Festival brings excitement and thrills to thousands of families on the East Coast of Delaware.
The official program for the Sea Witch® Festival 2024 program is now in progress and you can join the mailing list. The full program will be released soon by the Rehoboth Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce, and we will keep updating this page with up-to-date information as and when it is released.
Some already confirmed activities and events for the Sea Witch® Festival 2024 include the famous Sea Witch® Festival Costume Parade, which will run from 9am on Saturday 26th October, and the Costumed Dog Parade, which will run from 12pm on Sunday 27th October.
What is the Sea Witch® Festival?
Produced by the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce, the Sea Witch® Festival is Rehoboth’s most spook-tacular festival. It’s a family-friendly Halloween celebration packed full of events, activities, and entertainment. And the best part? Admission is free!
Get ready for the seaside streets to fill with thousands of witches, monsters, and other creepy characters in celebration of the Halloween season. There will be magic shows, pony rides, scavenger hunts, a broom-tossing contest, and plenty of live music throughout.
And don’t miss the famous Sea Witch® Festival parade, which this year will take place on the last Saturday of the month (26th) from 9am. The streets will be packed with bright, decorated floats and creepy, costumed participants. The following day there will also be a dog costume parade where you can watch hundreds of canines sport their best Halloween outfits.
Where is the Sea Witch® Festival?
You can find the Sea Witch® Festival at downtown Rehoboth Beach on the 25th-27th October 2024. While the Costume Parade & Parking Information has not yet been officially confirmed for the Sea Witch® Festival 2024, above is a map for last year’s edition, which is likely to be very similar this year.
How to get to the Sea Witch® Festival
Public transportation will be available for those attending the Sea Witch® Festival. The Jolly Trolley is a convenient option, now priced at $4 for adults and $2 for kids under 5 for a one-way trip, or $7 for adults and $3 for kids for a round trip.
Will there be parking at the Sea Witch® Festival?
Sea Witch® Festival parking is not recommended on Rehoboth Avenue, with crowd control fencing in place before the festival. However, parking will be available on the side streets.
If you’re travelling from the south, use the Jolly Trolley. Free parking will be available at the Jolly Trolley pick-up and drop-off locations at Tower Road and Delaware Seashore State Park.
If you’re visiting from the north, you can park at one of the DART Park & Ride locations for free and take the DART bus for just $2 each way or $4 for a full-day pass.
Sea Witch® Festival Activities
The Sea Witch® Festival Costume Parade will dazzle attendees with creativity and flair. If you’re an animal lover, don’t miss the Costumed Dog Parade where adorable pups flaunt their festive attire. Fitness enthusiasts can participate or cheer on runners in the Sea Witch 5K Classic Run and One Mile Fright Walk.
