Learn the unique history of Lewes! The Zwaanendael Museum commemorates Delaware’s first European colony, Swanendael, which was established by the Dutch in 1631. The museum offers a showcase of Lewes’ impressive maritime, military, and social history.

Operating Hours

*Hours of Operation during COVID Phase II Reopening:

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday – Tours at 10 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

All days and times by advance reservations only.

Call 302-645-1148 for a reservation.

Closed on state holidays with the exception of Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day.
