During the Prohibition era, Whiskey Beach was a common meeting place for rumrunners. Additionally, during WWII, it served as a site for soldiers to relax and enjoy themselves while stationed at Fort Miles. Now, it is the perfect spot to take a break and enjoy some fresh coastal air.
